Nice campground. We were at the back of the loop, and our spot was wide and level with no tree cover. It was a holiday weekend, so restrooms could have been cleaned more frequently. Wi-Fi is available, but we couldn't access it at the back of the CG due to weak signal. There are many activities at the location, but most are pricey. Downtown there is also lots to see. Not too much to actually do at the campground itself, though. A nice stopping point if there to do sightseeing.

We camped here Sun-Tues. It rained much of our visit, so the hiking paths were not useable. Boat rental was nice and 1/2 price during the weekdays. Full-hookup sites were narrow, not pull-throughs, gravel filled, (therefore muddy) and not level. Wi-Fi was only available at the lower campgrounds (#100-200), but those sites were swampy from the rain and not near the lake, beach or playground area. The bathhouse was clean: showers cost 25 cents for 6 minutes! Would visit again to see if we had a better impression when its not raining and muddy.

Park was clean, pool was nice. Maybe not in owner's control, but there was hammering/sawing, building noise at 6AM. It certainly cut into sleep time! Also, frustrated that they charge $5/person for more than 2 people. Paying to bring the kids isn't what I consider family friendly.

Nice facilities, although bathrooms were not spotless-clean, they were tidy. Swimming beach is not within walking distance, to our dismay. Perhaps with a bicycle, as many others brought along, we could have avoided driving.

One of our first camping outings was here. The bathroom/shower house was so clean, it has become our gold standard. CG is right off I-80, so truck noise is always there, but due to the fact it is an interstate, it is more a constant drone, not startling. Nice place for overnight stay. Not much in amenities (Pool, etc.)

Very friendly hosts- they waited up for us with a late check-in due to a flat tire at beginning of day. Unfortunately, due to being so late, we essentially pulled in, slept, and left the next morning. So, I cannot tell much about the facilities. What I saw seemed nice, and as I said the hosts were very kind.

Very nice campground for simply stopping in. There is no pool and it is mainly pavement. If you leave the park and go down the bike trail less than 1/4 mile, there is a city park for the kids. And the bike trail is the Katy trail, which is nice for cycling on. They charge an additional fee for parties more than two, so they are not "family friendly" in the sense that it costs more to bring your family! For what you get, a little pricey, but it is well kept and safe feeling.
